We are responsible for delivering social infrastructure and social development programme management services on behalf of government. The social infrastructure programmes we deliver include public schools, clinics, community centres, government offices and these are predominantly in rural communities in the nine provinces of South Africa.

The National Department of Arts and Culture (DAC) has retained the IDT to implement the Heritage Legacy Programme (HLP). The purpose of the programme is to preserve, regenerate, protect and promote awareness of the historic sites, in remembrance of those who made significant contributions in the establishment of a democratic South Africa.  The HLP also focuses on include preserving the memory of struggle heroes, great community and political leaders who worked tirelessly in order to bring democracy. The IDT is implementing HLP projects in the Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, Free State, Limpopo and Gauteng provinces.

Over and above the HLP, the IDT is contracted by some provincial Departments of Arts and Culture to provide urban and rural community library infrastructure facilities with the aim of promoting connection and accessibility to information to the broader South African community. Projects, involving the development of community libraries, One Stop Development Centres, SASSA Offices, Home Affairs Offices, and Early Childhood Development Centres are being implemented in all the nine provinces.
